Every year I find myself thinking this would be the best job in the world. Lighting shit on fire so it can explode in the sky? Um, yes please. All day every day.
And the logistics of it intrigue me...if I pack a shit ton of gunpowder in this cardboard tube and add some fuses and sparkly stuff then it makes pretty patterns in the sky. But I'd get rid of those ones that look like Saturn.
It also seems to be a fairly slowly changing technology -- every year they go kaboom and are exciting, but I feel like I don't see a lot of variety.
